MA Counselling, Grad. Dip. Counselling, BA Psych. Sciences, BA Design Arts, Cert IV Mental Health
My name is Natalie and as a neurodivergent therapist with lived experience, I meet my clients from a place of deep understanding and compassion. Through my lived experience and professional training, I understand the importance of trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming care in cultivating safety, choice, and empowerment and weave these principles into each interaction we have along your therapy journey.
I often work with people who have experienced traumatic events, as well as individuals who struggle with their mood, neurodiversity-related social and identity challenges, and relationship or attachment style difficulties. Throughout our sessions, you may notice new insights, pick up new tools, increased clarity, calmness, and a newfound (or long-lost!) confidence.

The approaches I use include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, and EMDR. These methods work with how the brain naturally updates memories, helping to change how the memories of trauma are stored and recalled, a process known as memory reconsolidation. As a result of this process, emotional triggers can feel less intense, flashbacks are reduced, and new choices may emerge from a place of calm and self-compassion. These approaches can effectively address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, traumatic grief, people-pleasing patterns, self-esteem, attachment issues, medically unexplained physical symptoms, and self-sabotage.
Alongside these models, I offer evidence-based somatic interventions that support nervous system regulation, including yoga-informed movements, breathwork, polyvagal techniques, and somatic focusing.

My intention as your therapeutic guide is to help you to become your own self-led healer, equipped with practices that support sustainable, long-term change. I believe we can all live peacefully and confidently, and it would be an honour to guide you on your healing journey.

When not in the counselling space, I love to practice yoga, meditate, create art, and spend time with my boxer dog Millie.

Please email me if you are curious to have a chat, I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about working together. :)

Acknowledgement
I respectfully acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands and waters we are fortunate to share. I pay deep respect to Elders past, present, and emerging, and honour the world’s oldest living culture. I also recognise the enduring impact of colonization and that sovereignty was never ceded. This land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

I celebrate the richness of diversity in our community and recognise that there is still important work to be done to truly honour and inclusively embrace people of all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, religions, faiths, and beliefs.
